Attack on Titan: Overview

by Syed Naqvi 29 Aug 2023 0 Comments

Attack on Titan, also known as Shingeki no Kyojin in Japanese, is a popular anime series based on the manga by Hajime Isayama. The series is set in a world where humanity lives inside three large walls to protect themselves from Titans, giant humanoid creatures who eat humans without any apparent reason. The series follows the story of Eren Yeager and his friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, who join the military in order to fight against the Titans and uncover the mysteries surrounding their existence.

The Storyline

The story of Attack on Titan is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to the threat of the Titans. The story begins with Eren, Mikasa, and Armin living in a walled city called Shiganshina. One day, a colossal Titan breaks through the wall, allowing smaller Titans to enter and wreak havoc on the city. In the chaos, Eren's mother is killed and he swears to avenge her death by joining the military and fighting against the Titans.

As the series progresses, Eren and his friends become involved in a complex plot involving government conspiracies, Titan shifters, and the true nature of the Titans. The story is divided into several arcs, each of which delves deeper into the mysteries of the Titans and the history of the world they inhabit.

The Characters

Attack on Titan features a large cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and motivations. The main character, Eren Yeager, is a hot-headed and determined young man who is determined to rid the world of Titans. He is joined by his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, a skilled fighter who is fiercely loyal to Eren, and his best friend Armin Arlert, a brilliant strategist who is always thinking ahead.

Other important characters in the series include Levi Ackerman, a skilled soldier who becomes Eren's mentor; Erwin Smith, the commander of the Survey Corps; and Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover, two soldiers who are revealed to be Titan shifters.

The Themes

Attack on Titan deals with a variety of themes, including the nature of humanity, the struggle for survival, and the impact of war on both individuals and society as a whole. The series explores the human condition and the lengths that people will go to in order to survive, as well as the cost of that survival. It also explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the nature of power.

One of the most interesting aspects of Attack on Titan is the way that it portrays the Titans themselves. The Titans are depicted as mindless, giant humanoid creatures that seem to exist solely to eat humans. However, as the series progresses, it becomes clear that there is more to the Titans than meets the eye, and that their existence is tied to the history of the world they inhabit.

Conclusion

Attack on Titan is a gripping anime series that has captivated audiences all over the world. Its blend of action, mystery, and drama, along with its complex plot and diverse cast of characters, have made it a must-watch for fans of the genre. Whether you're a fan of action anime, dystopian fiction, or just good storytelling, Attack on Titan is definitely worth checking out.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
